Its a small complaint but takes me out of the story a bit when there are such beautiful words in a basic email.
At certain points, the submissive woman is writing about her exploits and the writing feels as if it is from an author. As much as it kind of breezes by clocking in at only 101 pages long, it definitely could have benefited from extra pages to develop these characters and their intentions and who they actually are. Both of these actions feel extremely out of place for both characters. Later, she asks to get back together and it is revealed that the submissive woman is actually the mentally unstable one as the dom feels she has taken things too far with her. The dom feels no remorse at the relationship ending and no remorse at what shes made the sub do. At one point the submissive woman ends the relationship as she feels the requests have gone too far and she feels she can no longer do them. The characters at points do things that don’t particularly make sense.The final “twist” at the ending came out of nowhere (i will elaborate further below), the characters aren’t fleshed out enough.

Its a series of emails and instant messages from the year 2000 between these two women who meet on an lgbt forum. The final request specifically got my stomach churning and it still hurts sitting here writing this. There are some genuinely disturbing moments sprinkled in throughout the book.I read it in one sitting and it only took me maybe two or two and a half hours, but the time just kind of breezes by. The story is extremely well paced which makes the short novella a breeze to get through.The relationship between the two characters is interesting, it seems somewhat genuine at times and one character is a bit more fleshed out than the other, but it still works.I don’t have anyone to talk about this stuff, so here are some thoughts:
